Who are you?

A good practice tip
By Norm Richards, BE, Fairfax, Va., What's Happening? and Chapter Affairs editor for Mid'l Antics

If you're corresponding with another Barbershopper by e-mail or letter, there are three things--in addition to your name--that you could put at the top of your e-mail or correspondence to help the recipient identify you immediately:

  • Your chapter ID (for example, J-051)

  • Your city or county and state

  • Your chapter name.

I get e-mail and sometimes letters from BEs all over the district and it sometimes takes me time to figure out what chapter they belong to so I can file the mail or update a control sheet. I don't know all the editors by name yet. I'm sure Kenosha must have the same problem with the correspondence they get.
